Winter Sports Program
The Winter Sports 2025 Program will run for 6 Thursdays, January 9, 16, 23, 30 and Feb 6,13
Options for Winter Sports include:
Skiing: Grades 1-6, Kindergarteners may ski only if they have a parent or other adult accompany them, Fee= $35
Snowboarding: grades 4-6 only unless approved by Frank Kelley, Fee=$35
Swimming: Grades 1-6, Fee=$30
Sledding: Grades 1-6, Fee=$15
Kindergarten Program: Kindergarten only, Fee=$30
If students choose not to participate in any of the above Winter Sports, Parents need to pick their students up @ 12:00pm.
There is limited afterschool program and no late bus for those Thursdays.
Skiing/Snowboarding Program
The program cost is $35 for ALL participants including season pass holders.
From Okemo, "All students must pay the program fee, including season pass holders and Okemo employee dependents."Rentals are available for $65.
Rentals are available on November 12, 13 or 14th from 3 - 6PM in the Clock Tower Base Area. You will need to pay for your rentals at this event
Okemo waivers due by Dec. 8th
All participants must wear a helmet. Helmets are NOT available to rent from Okemo.
The will be transportation to Okemo from CAES, there may be a bus back.
We will have an Okemo Winter Sports Meeting on Wednesday December 4 vis zoom @ 6:30pm.

Swimming Program
Program fee $35
Students will swim at the Edgar May Health and Recreation Center
Students will be transported to and from Edgar May and will be back in time for regular dismissal.
There will be no lessons offered this year.

Sledding Program
Students will go sledding at the Pinnacle on Lovers Lane
Students will walk to and from the pinnacle and be back in time for regular dismissal time @ 2:50

Kindergarten Program
Kindergarten students will stay at CAES and engage in various activities, including things like arts & crafts, games, building activities and outdoor winter activities. Students also have a snack and outdoor play time before regular dismissal time at 2:50.

Timeline:
The first step is to complete the Winter Sports Interest Form to make a selection of which program your student will participate in. If you have more than one student, please submit the form for each student. Please complete this by Friday November 1st.
Next, Complete the Registration Form for the sport they are participating in. Completed forms and payment are due by December 6th/
Fees & Payment:
Ski/Snowboard Program = $35
Swimming = $30
Sledding= no fee
Kindergarten Program =$30 (to cover supplies)
If this is a hardship, Financial Assistance is available. Please complete this Financial Assistance Form (google doc) or contact the office for a financial assistance form.
Volunteering for Winter Sports
We will need a significant number of adult volunteers to make the Winter Sports program happen. Volunteers will need to complete the background check and fingerprint process. If you volunteered last year, you do not need to get fingerprinted again, but you do need to complete the background check paperwork. Please contact the CAES office for this paperwork.
We will need 25-35 volunteers for the Okemo Snow Sport program. Volunteers will be matched with 3-4 students of similar ski/snowboard ability. Please complete this Volunteer Sign-Up Form by December 8th.
Volunteers are needed for Skating and Sledding as well. You will need to complete the fingerprint and background check process for these programs as well. Please contact the CAES office if you would like to volunteer for either of these programs.
